The villa of Madrid is the capital of Spain [1]. Born from an Arabic enclave (Mayrt, ; called in Castilian(Spanish) ancient(former) Magrit, Magerit and Matrit), conquered by Alfonso VI of Castile in 1083, the villa was chosen in 1561 since(as,like) sedate of the court for Philip II, and it(he,she) turned into the first permanent capital from the kingdom visigodo. Except a brief interval of time, between(among) 1601 and 1606, in that the capital happened(passed) temporarily to Valladolid, Madrid has been the capital of Spain and sedate of the Government (except during the Civil war, in which the government moved first to Valencia and then to Barcelona).
